Despite the fact that your first button appears to be cast 1-piece solid brass, I believe it is a 20th Century "Fashion" button. One clue is its extreme thickness. Another clue is, in "olden" times the makers of cast-brass 1-piece buttons almost always took the trouble to bevel the edges of the thread-hole in a pillar/wedge shank, rounding-off the drilled hole's sharp edges so it wouldn't quickly cut through the simple cotton thread which attached the button to the clothing. Remember, modern "tough" synthetic-fiber (like nylon) thread didn't exist until the 20th Century.
Sidenote for civil war cast brass 1-piece button collectors (and diggers):
The presence or absence of a bevel-edged thread hole in a drilled-shank cast button is a major clue about whether the button is an Original or a Reproduction.
Your other button is definitely a "Fashion" button from the 20th Century... specifically, a Sports jacket/coat button. The crossed rods on it are golf-clubs. It shows the emblem of the Royal Black Heath Golfing Club, in Scotland. However, it isn't actually from that club. The emblem has been very commonly used on many versions of Sports-jacket buttons. See some other examples of it in the photos below.
