Yesterday a buddy and I headed out to a spot we had located on an 1869 map, unfortunately we got turned away by the land owner, but I gave him my card and offered to bring another detector along if he wanted to join us, we chatted for a bit and he pointed us towards another spot not too far away. About a 1/2 mile hike in, all uphill of course, and the bugs were terrible. However I was rewarded with a 1899 IHP and a killer button spill. 4 buttons all in the same hole, 2 civilians, a general service and a 1830/40s Artillery button. They cleaned up really nice!
