Button? with cannon

DH found this in our yard the other day. It appears to be a button with a screw- off back. Anyone seen anything like this? I presume it is military since it has two crossed cannon on it.

Its an old artillery lapel badge. Not sure if its WW1 or WW2 though...not civil war I believe. Not particulaly rare, but a cool find.
