Button with possibly King George bust on the front????

Recovered this button the other day, pewter, appears to have a bust on it and on the left it looks like the word "GEORGVIS" on it. Maybe some sort of King George button?? Were buttons made with the Kings bust on them? Have never seen one before!?

Yes you get many types of 'coin' button. Buttons with various Kings & Queens head in the style of a coin. Most of them were popular cufflink buttons.
 

Crusader is correct. This MIGHT be a Spanish monarch. They did this a lot.
 

As The Crusader mentioned there were many types of coin buttons and coin sleeve buttons. Here are a few that I've found. Pic #1 Bottom two are pewter coin coat buttons, Pic#2 King Louis XV coin sleeve button (cufflink). Last Pewter coin cufflink
