button is marked on the back lewis & tomes extra rich i have found this backmark 1820s through the 1830 and i think it is a marine button can anyone help comfirm this thanks

Thats a marine button good find i have ephew different types my self....as for the date i can check the alberts book for you ,but judging from the pic it seems you hit the nail on the head date-wise(maybe 1840\\\'s)but congrats on the good find!
