✅ SOLVED Button?..

Found this today from an area that seems to be from late 1700s...Says I.C.&F.LEACH around edge..then facing other way is WIGAN...Has 2 slots so figure button?....and Wigan maybe after city in England?

Didnt mean this item neccassarily 1700s,did find large flat buttons with the ALPHA type shank which are from late 1700s..people could have lived on this site well into 1800s

1950s?...no idea,nothing at this site dates beyond early to mid 1800s...maybe a hunter later on lost a button?...no id on name yet and have double checked spelling.

It's definitely a button, but nowhere near 1700s or early-1800s.

It may be a suspender or underwear button. I have seen them made like that. They can date back to the mid 1800s. Here is one link to a button similar to yours.

Yes...one with two slots looks exact...thanks..wasnt 100% sure a button but it is...

Thats closest info so far...i couldnt find anything based on what i see on button...though Leach appears to be a popular name in uk...heres a little better pic...maybe error on button or in business listing?...thanks for your help
