I found some time over the weekend to hike in on a site that dates early 1700's, my cup of tea. An early cellar hole was a nice find in the woods. After an hour I had dug three early buttons, one large with a beautiful stamping on it and a buckle. I'm thinking there has to be colonial coins here and soon I'm looking at consistent 90's at 8 inches on the Garrett. I'm thinking silver ?? and dig until I see a silver coin emerging. I pick it up and gently remove the dirt. 1902 ?? Barber half ??, I love my colonial finds !!!! , wasn't expecting this at this sight !!! Still a very pretty coin.
