I was able to get out Saturday and Monday over the long holiday weekend. Saturday was pretty futile as I was only able to come up with a late 18[SUP]th[/SUP] century cufflink and an 1883 IHP (IHP #27 FTY) aside from the usual spoons, oil lamp parts, and other assorted junk.
Sunday evening I got a text from the wife of a farmer who has two farms that I hunt, to tell me he had plowed a field that I had discovered a small house site in a couple years ago. Up till now the field had been a hayfield, and clumps of high grass prevented a thorough searching of the site. I had pounded this field pretty hard in the past, but felt some smaller buttons, cufflinks, and if I was really lucky, maybe a Spanish half real might show up. I was a little disappointed with the results, finding only 6 buttons, a musket ball, a French gunflint, and a thin brass disc that I though was a button until I got home and cleaned it.
From what I’ve been able to determine, the plow struck thin brass disc is a German Jeton from Nuremburg circa 1800 depicting Alexander the Great on one side and a rampant lion on the other. Here is my Jeton along with a picture of a non-dug example.

Here is a group shot of my holiday finds, including a Pennsylvania State Seal button I found two weekends ago (bottom row - left)

Lastly, here is a shot of my display from the Jeton site prior to the latest group of finds. Only two coppers and now 35 buttons. Not a very good coin to button ratio!

Thanks for looking and I hope your luck is better than mine
