New to the site so bare with me if I post in wrong section!
I am a prospector and rockhound based in the California Bayarea. I would love to connect with people who rockhound in the Sierra's. I do a lot of crystal digging between Placerville and Auburn. Since the winter has got me stir crazy, I am frantically trying to gain any knowledge of other areas to dig. I heard of a place near Fair Play CA called the crystal caves but can't find any info on it.
Anyway, any help would be awesome! Since I know a lot of people like to keep their spots on the down low to strangers I understand! I can keep secrets and maybe I can accompany you on a trip. Rockhounding is my remedy to my depression and anxiety so I'll do almost anything to keep it going.
I don't know where to post pics, but my best find of 2015 was smokey quartz with rutile inclusions.
