California Treasure Legends?

So, I'm a native Californian, and i have heard about some stories of treasure waiting to be found. Rattlesnake Dick is the one i'm familiar about, and i came across a thread on this website saying the loot was recovered in 1856. Is it true? What California treasure legends are still waiting to be found?

There's an old tale of a ferry sinking in the Owens Lake (dry lake since LADWP bought the land). Supposedly had gold or silver on it when it went down.
