I've heard these long handle spoons called ice cream or sunday spoons

Yep, looks plated, but still a nice find!

Definitely plated. It's National Silver Company's "Rose and Leaf" pattern, introduced in 1937. They only produced it in silver plate. Apart from the obvious sign that the plating has worn through to the underlaying base metal on the resting surface of the bowl, marks such as 'A1' on flatware are common manufacturer designations for the quality/thickness of electroplate.

Iced tea spoon? Nice find👍🏼

'replacements.com' sell it as an "iced tea spoon", which I think was the original designation in the National catalogue.
I guess to reach down in the pitcher to stir

We have some of those long handled spoons in modern stainless steel. Handy for stirring iced tea or serving jam and relish out of deep bottles.
