Calling all Button guys...

[Bunker]

Hello All,
Found these 2 buttons and was wondering what age they may be. They are 2 part buttons, the backs are gone. Found them in a farm field near a house in North Ga. that was built in the late 1800's. (it is still occupied) Looks like a coat of arms type symbol in the middle. Not much to go on but any help is much appreciated!

HI Bunker; My "guess" is a set of "dress" coat type buttons. Not necessarily Military in nature. Circa 1860's. Good Luck. Any Back marks or makers names ??

No backs at all, they are gone to the ground. Don't look military to me either. My first old buttons so I am excited anyway!!!

Another nut post from Riceqqucai. Didn't take long for the revamped forum to start to get polluted !

Anyway nice find Bunker and though the backs have gone the condition of the fronts make them quite collectable. I would not consider there to be a coat of arms in the middle. Where coats of arms were used they were made very prominent.
