Gold or Silver NO markings or stamps? I would say late 1800's ..but just a guess.

It's Silver, the only marking I can see looks like a 700?

925 silver hallmark can take on all kinds of odd distorted shapes including 700. But 750 is 18k gold.
I use to collect cameo pins and they'd run from 1880s - 1930s or so.
Face is crude and may be a portrait of the wearer's child.

I dug a ring like that at OOB, Maine but there was no cameo, just a silver case it wnt in, and the guys up here said it was late 1800's too, it was after a hurricane and a lot of sand was gone, great find, I love cameo's
