Can anybody ID and possibly date this plate?

Was hunting in Fayetteville, PA and found what I think is a military/militia boxplate. The American eagle is embossed on what I think is brass. Eagle is looking left with open wings, shield in center, and talons holding arrows and what I think is an olive branch. The motto "E Pluribus Unum" is strung on a banner between the eagles' wings. Looking for a possible date and ID. Any help is greatly appreciated. See pictures of front and back. Thanks.

Thanks Kingskid 1611, it is really cool. Plate measures roughly 2 5/8" x 2 1/4". Some in our club think it is probably pre-civil war maybe War of 1812 era. Another thinks its around WWI era because of the "E Pluribus Unum". He says they did not start using that on military plated items until around roughly 1902 (based on the yellow book of Civil War artifacts). Fayetteville, PA is along the route Lee took toward Gettysburg. Hope others can narrow it down for me. Thanks again.

It's an early militia belt plate. Made around 1825. Looks like someone used it for something else. Just google militia belt plates and you will see what I'm talking about.
