Are you sure it is a coin? Kind of looks like a button, but tough to tell by those photos. I think I might see the words “Orange Colour,” so possibly British. . Hope you get an ID.

Yep, thats a button like Lenmac said.
Without looking in a button book I would guess early to mid 1800’s. 👍

Yes, it's a Button with the Shank missing.

Buttons are a great find. Someone was working there or riding their horse nearby when that fell off. Anything on the face of it? A quick dunk in lemon juice, 30 seconds, can bring out any silver or gold wash, or design that might be present under the dirt.
