How big (or small) is it? Is it heavy, like cast iron...any markings ay all? I ask because for some reason this strikes me as something I have seen before but I can't put my finger on it.

it is about a foot and a half long and it has some weight to it but not anything crazy. The two holes on the pointed part are square and the four at the top are round also two bars at top are curved it looks like blacksmith metal to me by the grainy look to it

Looks like an early 20th century farming towing component for smaller use unless im judging the size wrong since there is no ruler on measurement.. the front would attach to the bottom of say a small little open wagon (like the one in the photo) that could be used to move small grain/berries,etc. then there would be another same like the one you dug component that would bolt on to where those 4 holes are and then attach itself to another wagon so you could hook up a couple wagons in a row fo.. I would say early 20th century farming.

Kinda like these size wagons, small ones
