Can anyone identify these two points? Found them here in my home county Simpson County Mississippi. Pretty sure they are the same type.

the tips suggest they are hafted fleshing tools.... used in scraping hides.
 

I believe it is one of those types that don’t have a base. Snap-base, Intentionally snapped off.
 

Why would you break the base off of a point on purpose? What advantage would a point with no base have? How could you tell if a point with a broken base was broken from use or broken on purpose? “Occams razor” states that the simplest explanation is always correct. Point was made, hafted, used, and it broke and was tossed. Simple.
