I have this piece that was my uncles, it looks like two insects on a frog head, it is quite heavy. A jeweler tested it for gold and it tested at 10K. Does anyone know anything about this?

I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

First thought is Quimbaya. From Columbia.

They made odd looking gold items.
