Metal Detecting
I was out detecting yesterday and picked up a couple of old bottles from a bottle dump. I've already identified one of them; a P.J. Ritter condiment bottle.

The other one is a bit different. It has a metal cap with holes in it. I'm thinking either talcum powder or even an unusual pepper shaker. I've just never seen a pepper shaker that looks so much like a bottle.

Here it is:

First Half Dollar Relics and Clad May 31 2015 002.webp

It's about 4 inches high to the bottom of the neck and about another 1/2" to the top of the cap.
I thought it was unmarked but I have since been able to make out a few letters on the bottom.

They are: "RMANY" and they're barely legible. I'm thinking it may have said "Germany" at one time.

The bottle itself looks like an old time perfume bottle. It has a few decorative vertical lines.

I'm just curious. It's an interesting old bottle and I'm hoping that maybe someone here at T'Net may recognize it.

Thanks in advance.
