Can anyone identify this?

It is copper and has a cover and is hollow inside with a pipe-like coming up the middle. It has a grate inside. It looks like something used for smoking like incense or maybe a hearter?

It looks like the thing they use at Thai restaurants to serve food in. There is usually a candle or something in the middle to keep the food warm.
