Can someone please help me out?

I have a treasure finder 900 Automatic by Discovery Electronics INC

It does not work. Where can I take it to get it repaired? I live in Pomona, CA 30 mins from Los Angeles

I am thinking your best bet is to buy another detector. That unit is about 20 years old.

Just my opinion but odds are the money you put in getting it repaired if you can find someone to work on it would be better spent on a newer. detector....

We will NOT go quitely into the night!

+1 on treasures advice

Ok. This is really for my dad he is convinced that the newer ones don't detect as deep as this one. What is something better than this? He wants to find gold like everyone else. I just don't know what to buy for him.

I got a nice whites spectra v3i forsale, sunray probé,5 coils warrenty, travel case, harness, digger, finds pouch,rain/dust guards check it out in the market place has multi frequency, prospecting program, endless options,2,pairs of wireless heasohones looks new i got everything & its deep deeper If u want to put on the 12x15 sef coil its a monster

Well I still want to see how much it would cost me to fix this. Any one know a place I can take this to in southern california???

anyone know a place?

Pongos, the newer detectors go deeper especially with a larger coil. Read the info on them .

Hand him a newer machine. A lot of us old farts aren't gonna be convinced unless you hit us in the head with the facts! If he's still dead set on keeping what he's got, grab a phonebook & look for a TV repair shop that's been around for a few years. The older "techs" aka repairmen will surprise you on what they can fix.

If Dads as stubborn as I am, give him a new machine & tell him the old one got stolen from your car while you were at the Coliseum. If he's familiar with the area he'll believe you!

google "metal detector repair southern California" and make some phone calls.

What is your max repair budget?
