my father says its origional from civil war. he wants me to try to sell it on ebay for him but i dont have any info to go on. i have been able to find similar reproductions on the net but nothing exactly like it.

Can we see the back also dude? Your plate looks like anything from the 1870'2-1890's period,but then your shield is more pointed at the top than the ones I see in my books.Hope someone else can help you out.Daniel
