hi,ive been lurking for a few months,got my first metal detector recently...i found this in the park,along with a lot of junk that's not worth showing.can anyone give some info on it..thanks..its dated 1914 and silver,italian writing on it.. sorry if the pics dont come out to good,this is my first post...

is that for real?? on ebay i mean...its worth that much??

By way of comparison, a "gem brilliant MS-63/64" Barber quarter of about that age in the common mintages would be worth maybe $800, while a circulated, buried and dug variety in VF-20 ("very fine") would be worth $30. In coins and baseball cards condition is everything. If buyers want to see the bridle strap rivits on the closest horse and the waxy hairs in the guy's ear they'll be critical of the grade when buying . . . and then mark the same coin two grades higher when they try and sell it. :D

That whole waxy ear hair thing is kinda gross... LMAO
