the bottom tool might be for removing rough skin from hands  no i don't know but its interesting

dear trader, do you mean like my hands?
(no, I don't know either)

larson, the point, if found in my area, would be considered a Ft Ancient type and probably classified as a Hamilton. In your area I believe they are called a Plains Triangle Point and I would venture to guess it's from the same time period. The Uniface Tool was more than likely used as a Knife/Scraper tool. It doesn't look sturdy enough to have been utilized as a Chisel.

Bottom one has some spokeshave character to it.

Larson, the point seems a little to long for our typical Plains Triangles. Looking at my frame of at least a hundred of them, I only have one that is that long, and the base is not concave like yours. Could possibly be a smaller sized Frederick point, is the base on yours ground at all?

The uniface tool, looks like it could have had several uses, hard to put a name on it other than multi-purpose tool. Sure is a nice one though.

Joel.

Forgot about the point. It looks (from its thickness) like it was a lot wider originally, and kept getting re-sharpened until it was a cigar. The basal edge would be the key.

Great looking finds Larson. I would guess the top one is a knife based on it's thickness and the curve at the tip end. Just a theory. Some of the artifacts I once classified as points I now believe are knives. Could it have been used as a point at one time and later fashioned into a knife? Could it have been hafted to a handle of some sort or do you believe it's too small? Just
throwing some things out there for discussion.

what is a suspension knife?

still curious to know what is a suspension knife?

Apparently,... it's a knife that will keep you in suspension ,.... .. .. . . . . . .

. . Seem's to be in working order there , La r s o n ... . . .

;D ... Joel

The first point is a true arrowhead in my humble opinion.

Whatever they are they are awesome finds and I would be th rilled to have either one. Great stuff!!! Thanks for sharing.
