So, I went to a garage sale last weekend and found a couple of prints--I think they are wood block prints and probably reproductions?
One of the prints is by Asa Cheffetz and titled "Early Morning", a typical New England scene. It was printed by the Sandy Hill Corp., of Hudson Falls, New York and given as a Season's Greetings card.

This other print is the one I am having trouble deciphering the signature on.
It looks like "Jonise Z(or V?) Stahl"? And it is stamped and then signed in pencil.
I can't find any information on this person though, so I am assuming I have the signature wrong.
See what you guys think and I really appreciate any help with this! Oh, and I gave a whole $1 for both so if they aren't worth much, I'm not hurting too bad :) .

I inverted the colors on it so you can see the signature a little better:

Real Asa Cheffitz prints are definitely valuable, I interned at the Baltimore Museum of Art for a time and got to handle some Asa Cheffetz prints. The ones we had were tiny, they were smaller than postage stamps but yet the detail was amazing! Cheffitz actually mostly did wood engravings, which is an intaglio process that uses wood instead of a metal matrix. All of the originals that I have seen have been signed in pencil (which is a convention of printmaking in general, printmakers almost never sign in ink), so I think you might be out of luck.

Thanks OldSowBreath, JimDon and Baltimore! Appreciate the help.

Looks like the Asa print still has value. Others have sold but couldn't find that same one. Are you going to sell it?

I was thinking about listing it either on eBay or on one of the facebook group pages where I sell other stuff....Whatcha think it's worth 2Minnesota? $20? More? Less?
