I found this point tuesday in one of my favorite fields. I was flipping rocks and this is what poped out. Is this a knife, a scrapper or an unfinished point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I'm not sure what kind of points are over in to the east, but it looks like a Smith variation to me.
That's just my 2 cents!

Yeah.... I don't know what I would call that... guessing early woodland though...maybe archaic..hmmm..

Looks unfinished. My dad's friend found one looking something like that.

Can't identify but a nice find. haven't seen one like that in our area.

I have it's twin, had to have been made by the same guy!I found mine this past week in a field that has probably yielded over a thousand points and blades in the past 50 years. The one point found a few days ago is the only one of that type found in this immediate area to the best of my knowledge. I have found over 300 points in that field.Broken to good ratio is about 10-12 to 1.

My point is made of a dull pink, white, and gray material and is 1 1/2" long by 1 1/8" wide, and 1/4" thick.Sorry ,I have no way of posting pictures at this time.

This point is 2 1/4 inches long, 1 3/4 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick. It is milky Quartz with rose colered swirls. This is another picture. Sorry about the quality, I need a new camera.

After seeing the second picture and knowing what's made out of I would say that it's not broken or unfinished... it's just that material is not very good... it is in fact a complete point, and many that you find made out of this material are just poor quality.
