Can you tell if it's a silver bracelet?

Hey guys
I found a bracelet with my new F5 today on the first time out. I don't see any hallmarks but it looks like it might have had a tag that broke off. It rang up as a nickel. Wouldn't a real silver bracelet ring up higher than that? It wasn't deep at all. Maybe 2 inches.

Thanks!

Silver is quite conductive and should read higher and the depth of an object is no indication of its age or composition. There are silver test kits available for you to test your stuff.

I agree, silver should ring higher.

Got a pic of the bracelet? I've found silver chains and bracelets that read as foil until I got them out of the ground and right under the coil.

Not sure about the nuances of the F5 but it should ring up in the high coin category. Is there rust or staining on the item? Most silver bracelets are not very thin and should read high but most junk bracelets ring in the tab or foil range.
