I don't see a dot and it's more than extremely unlikely that is what you have.

coinsandcanada.com is a price guide online with photos of what they should look like. They may be able to help you with your question. I don't see the dot either.....

You got yourself a 1936 penny without a dot, the dot is below the 3 on the date. The one above is just like every other one they minted.
