Never seen one either. It's in VERY nice shape! A lot of Canadian coins have been found (on this board) in MI lately...
I think they may be PLANNING something...... :-)

Research says it's 80% silver.

Nice Find and No I have never seen one before.
Happy Hunting

Congrats! I'd love to dig a big Canadian half! Never seen one dug before. I've dug a dozen old Canadians including an 1871 Victoria quarter, but no halves - still on my list.

Your really hitting on the Canadian coins man - Whats up with that? First 3 Loonies and 3 toonies in one day and now a half? Did you buy your Fisher in Canada-that must be it. JK, excellent finds halves can be hard to come by nowdays. WTG

Very nice! Still on my wish list. Congrats!

Interesting find!! Have never seen one either. WTG

I remember as a kid Canadian coins were accepted at the bank with no questions asked. When the canadian dollar sank well below the US in value in the 70s I think it was the banks stopped accpeting them. Before then if you lived near Canada then Candian coins were common in change in the states. Must say I have seen few Canadian half dollars and a silver one is a great find.

1ST one I have seen, wow!
