Today I hunted a field site (1873+ home site) that I've only hunted once, last summer during the drought.
The home was gone by 1895 so there are not a ton of signals but I did see a bit of glass and ceramics today. Finally got a good steady signal (28/29 on the Explorer) and was hoping for a LC since I'm long overdue. Instead it was a holed Bank of Montreal half penny bank token, 1844.
Not long after dug a decent IH, 1883, in pretty good shape since the field coins can take a beating from fertilizer. Also dug my first heel plate, several cutlery pieces, handle of a child's gun, a complete lantern knob, a crushed thimble, piece of a clay pipe, and three interesting buttons. One is shell, one porcelain, and the other is a two piece round button
...any info appreciated.
Beautiful day to be out!
