Hello,
I found this today. It is a 1947 Canadian Penny. It is in good condition and fairly old. It looks like it has a mint mark that says KG. I searched the internet and did not find any solid answers about its possible value. I did see that they were selling some on Ebay for up to $7 (U.S). Can someone from Canada tell me if it is worth something? Thanks!

it worth anything

I doubt they are worth much I think most of my searches on king george VI pennies is that they are worth .15 cents - 1:00 if pristine. Your's I'd rank around 15 cents.

We just finished a charity drive called pennies for heaven were people give their change and it goes to Local charities.

I ran the collection for our office (150 people) and I two weeks I've collected at least 50-75 King George VI (out of about 200$ worth of pennies, dimes and nickels. So they are still really common in circulation. which is why they aren't worth much.

I also have about 200 Wheat pennies form that same collection.

Adding to Montana's: The "KG" on the reverse is the designer's initials: George Edward Kruger Gray (December 25, 1880 - May 2, 1943) . Slightly over 31M of these one-cent pieces were minted.
