Cannel Coal Artifact

Found this claw shaped 1.5 inch cannel coal pendant at my dig site back in September. The tip is a little chipped/and worn. But its the only whole shaped piece I have found. I gave it to my daughter before I could take a picture. But took one yesterday.

That is very nice find. I have a Cannel Coal two hole gorget. I can't seem to get photobucket to work for me anymore or I would post a pic.
 
been a while since ive seen some cannel coal. cool pc :icon_thumright:

Keith, those are actually Tooth Effigies and not Claws. That is a very nice one.
 
Thanks Steve. I was wondering what it was. Its small/simple so I am sure they made a lot of them. At least it didn't fall apart like those bear teeth I found.
