✅ SOLVED Cant seem to figure out what these items are

Found these close to a cellar hole where I have found late 18th and early 19th century items
The u shaped one is about 11 inches between the points. The other one is 20.5" inches, each end has a loop and the piece on top is almost like a giant cotter pin. You can see a swirl on one side and you can see that it's not "even" lenths on both sides. Any help is appreciated!

I forgot to mention the hook thing too....the square part could probably hold a 3 inch strap..I fit 3 finger in it comfortably to carry it out of the woods

I believe I have a positive ID on the biggest piece. Somebody told me that it is a horse hames. No idea on age though

I would guess in the 100 y.o. range give or take a decade. Impossible to say for sure...
