"Captain Braddock" & Gold ring

Found this Captain Braddock badge at the bakery lot today.
It was in the strip of grass that lays between the sidewalk and the street.
Best part is this is the first time I ever probed this area, as I always assumed the strip was newer, and thus contained few if any goodies.
From what I've been able to gather, CB was a detective series from the 50's.
Also found a portion of an apparently silver spoon before dieing batteries drove me away.

Re: "Captain Braddock" & Gold ring

Found this very nice looking 14k ring tonight about 10:30 pm.
Was starting to rain when I got there but thought what the heck, I'll take a few swings before I go. Glad I did, cause this was sitting right on top of the chips, and obviously would have been recovered by the first person there tommorow.
Stamped "T/B 14k" - No idea what the TB is for.
Hoping the stones might be real also.

Hey Xray, excellent finds. Maybe the T/D is the makers mark? Try a little past wax on your badge, and then buff it with a soft toothbrush. Should clean up real nice. Congrats on some great finds...Lance

Neat badge! Not sure whether it was a premium or dime store item, but it's from a TV program called Racket Squad, which ran from 1951 to 1953. Capt. John Braddock, the main character, headed a big-city police department which dealt with con men, racketeers, swindlers, etc. Like Dragnet, the show supposedly was based on actual criminal cases. The badge looks a lot like the old Dragnet 714 badge, too:

Re: "Captain Braddock" & Gold ring

Thanks for the comments everyone.
PBK, it sure does look like a pretty obvious take on the Dragnet badge.
The back is hollow and a reverse image of the front, so it must have either had some insert with a pin that fell out or deteriorated long ago, or perhaps adorned another larger item.
Don't know about premium either, but its very solid and nicely detailed, so I got the feeling its a bit better than a cracker jack prize at least.
