This from Kym's beloved nephew Jay Brawley. Jay and Kym's lifelong friend Brian Slager were with him til the end:

"Our loved friend Capt Kym has sailed from this mortal port for adventures and tales he'll share when next we meet. Soon we'll share a moment to celebrate his life and the way he touched all of ours, One last YARRRRR!!!!! for Captain Kym A Ferrell."
We hate to see him go, but NOW he knows where the Queen's Jewels lie!"
Kym fought cancer for better than 6 years, never gave up rum or cigarettes, never gave up hunting the Queen's Jewels. He didn't find them on this plane, but he sure knows where they are now. I believe he'll be putting his hand on the wheel of the Carib just like he did for the last three years and giving him a little help.
There will be a memorial party in his homor on November 9, 2019 at Outrigger's Bar and Grill, 4015 Main Street, Micco, FL. The exact hour to be announced. (Think 2-ish) \
Please come and help us celebrate Kym's life.
Shed of this mortal coil, the Captain now sails free
For a far off place , in time and in space
Leaving behind you and me
But someday again,we'll meet up with our friend
and hear of his travels and tales
Of treasure and rum
"Boat deliveries" and fun
Fair winds now fill the Captain's sails.
