I found this in an old open dump pit off Golf rd close to the far NW suburbs of Chicago.
Online I found information that German farmers/ settlers who still continued to settle "West of Roselle rd and North of Golf rd prior to the 1940s" that this area was referred to as " The Wildcat Grove"
I researched this wheel hub and I found out it was for some models Plymouth and the possible Years were 1951 to 1954 and some models in the 1960s..
.
I left it at the dumpsite though.....

Lincolns, Cadillacs, Mustangs, Super Sports, VW's, Pontiac's, Triumph's, Buick's and a few before all our times. Cool transportation history.... I like it. Part of the reason I record the old Adam 12 shows on MeTV is because of the street scenes when all these vehicles of my prime were out on the streets. Plus it's an entertaining show I really enjoyed back in the day.

The Sterling car, specifically the Sterling marque sold in North America, was introduced in 1987 and discontinued in 1991. It was a brand marketed by Austin Rover Cars of North America, a division of Rover Group, in collaboration with Honda. The Sterling brand was based on the Rover 800 series.
The Mustang was first sold around 1964

I watch Adam 12 & Dragnet for the same reason. Great old Torinos, Chargers, VW Bugs, etc

Lot of VW bugs in those days. I did have a 1974 Karman Ghia. Bought it in Des Moines around 1978 when I was back in Iowa on a long change. Drove it all over the Rockies, util a deer jumped out in front of it.

I'd like to find a good deal on any ford, chevy, gmc or dodge van of that era before they all went bigger. My dad was an agent for the IMC potash company in the mid 60s. I know he had a company truck that was a 65 Ford pickup. Later they had this corvair van all built for him with a little custom plexiglass shadow box table with little clear plastic domes in the box filled with little samples of the granular fertilizers they offered. It was all painted up with the IMC colors and logos outside and it even had a real to real motion projector setup inside that had a short film on IMC and showed the underground mine operation. My dad was pissed big time over that van, because it was so gutless out on the highway and I remember him having a conversation on the phone with the company complaining what a piece of crap it was and how it in a headwind couldn't go over 25mph. He may have quit that job because of that van, because it wasn't long after that we all packed up and left Kewanee IL and move to Ankeny, IA for a new job he took.
