Carry case for Equinox

Fits perfectly with shafts disassembled in a Nike baseball bat bag. Plus the bat pouch holds a long T-handle lesche.

That’s exactly what I’m looking for in a bag. The detector bags I’ve seen just seem so long.

Can it be worn as a backpack?

Not really. I mean you could wear it like a backpack with the two slings, but it is much too loose for that IMO.

I tried something like this bow case for my 3030.... it was a bit bulky for me but I might revisit this type of thing..

So this is what I came up with...got it on sale $39.00
It's a bit small so I need do a few mods for the Velcro straps....this was the smallest bow case I could find.....the others were way to bulky, heavy and/or pricey. I will be adding a zippered pocket above the shafts for the cables etc.
This will travel in my jeep without taking up to much room and still protect the
Equinox from the rigers of travel....

Nice job. I like it.... so do you just fill the space with compression foam? The cuff is thicker than most of the other components so i'm figuring you lay some dense foam in there over the smaller items to fill the gaps?

No I cut slits through the foam and screw or glue Velcro straps where needed then run the straps up through the foam....this bow case has the cuts all ready and it comes with some screws and straps....

This is a smaller case....39x11x4ish I wanted a lower case although it means removing the cuff off the shaft to make everything fit....its only one screw so I don.t mind. its compact and as light as they come...aprox 10lb with everything stowed away...including case...the larger cases as seen in the video below are about 10-15 lbs without anything in them....I posted those videos to show how to install the straps....as most small items are light I just glue the straps in if there are no screw holes available...
I figure I can get a 6" coil and waterproof earphones in this case as well.....if mine lab ever get around to making them.
:headbang:

I have my best friend and lover, "Gertude," carry my NOX. :skullflag:

If you are getting on an airplane, in a car, train, boat, or just putting it in your closet for the winter, the original box is your best, and least expensive alternative. It offers good protection, and fits in the overhead.

also the first thing I throw away after opening...just saying....wonder if minelab will sell us an empty box...one made of plastic so it lasts when it gets wet....

SACRILEGE! I'm one of those guys that saves every box, plastic bag, and twist tie from all electronics. I can't help it. It drives my wife nuts because we have a closet full of empty boxes. Just the other day I tossed my son's old Playstation 3 box and I felt like I was committing a crime. What's wrong with me!

Echoplex. Misery loves company my friend. I am the same. But what i have found out is quite beneficial in the long run. When i sell older electronics no longer used by the family, they sell so much quicker with "original box". People tend to love having that original box. As we know, old expensive toys auctioned off today are sometimes doubled in price due to having the original box. So, don't start looking for a local hoarding doctor to fix your ailment. It ain't no ailment. :) It's just a guy that's setting himself up for success in the future!

That's ok....now I would be concerned if you kept all your condom wrapers...

I have convinced the better half that keeping the original box for each of my detectors increases their resale value, and offers winter storage out of her way. I just try and stay out of her way and keep her happy. Seems to be working! :laughing7:

You must have had lots of practice putting all those back into boxes, when I boxed up my dualfield, I scoured the internet looking for picture on how it was in there, in the end I email whites and they sent me a picture. Man you need a mathematician to figure it out.:dontknow:
