Carry case for Equinox

I've been using one of these, Works great, padded and has external pockets (mag pouches) and another large pocket on the opposite side.

Of course you might raise some eyebrows at an airport or hotel so be prepared to open it it so show you aren't toting a rifle!

DocBeav.... if you don't mind (and its perfectly fine if you decline), can you show us how it looks inside with the detector loaded up?

Got one just like it only it has an AR-15 in it with pockets loaded with mags.

I had 2 qualifications for a case. 1- it had to be a hard case. I'm careful with my gear but my kids are not. They throw stuf around and climb over anything. 2- I don't want to have to disassemble the machine every time I use it.
Cabellas double long gun case did the job. It's 200$ and 25 pounds but that is what points are for! My equinox is safe. 20180416_062001.webp

Silverdrake, Very nice!!!

Sorry, but lots of questions.....What is with the white outlines? Was that just a chalkline to show you where to cut? Was this pick and pluck foam (it does not appear to be)? If not, did you use a hot-knife to cut the foam? Did you seal the foam after cutting? Do you think if you got rid of the pinpointer cutout, you could have put the original headphones in their case in that spot? And lastly, what is the red wrapping on the shaft, just above the handgrip junction? And once again, nicely done!

I found a Gator brand keyboard case that’s going to be perfect.

SACRILEGE! I'm one of those guys that saves every box, plastic bag, and twist tie from all electronics. I can't help it. It drives my wife nuts because we have a closet full of empty boxes. Just the other day I tossed my son's old Playstation 3 box and I felt like I was committing a crime. What's wrong with me!

Feeling a little "boxed in?" ….Sorry, couldn't help it.

And I'd bet that when you do open it, they would look and say, "What the heck is that thing".

also the first thing I throw away after opening...just saying....wonder if minelab will sell us an empty box...one made of plastic so it lasts when it gets wet....

I never throw away boxes for detectors, headphone, coils, etc. Just stack them up with original sales receipts. What if you ever want to sell one (which it seems I am always doing), makes a much nicer presentation if you can sell in the original box. Just sayin........

I've been using a Minelab backpack.

MAN.....you fellers is fancy.

Mine sit's in the corner of the living room when I'm at home all week. On the weekends, it sits on the top of the heap of chainsaw, beer drinkin, shooting, adventure, campin, treasure hunting crap piled in the back of my truck.

Don't need a box, or a bag. just be more crap. I can't imagine disassembling it all the time either.

I guess cause I don't stay too long in one place. I hunt for a while, throw it in the truck, and move to another site.

Do you use the can too?

The bat bags do work good. Been using a Mizuno bat bag for 10 years and it still holding up though getting worn. As Echo mentions the bat compartment holds a three foot shovel nicely. Mine also has a compartment that's holds my headphones, pin pointer, spare batteries, etc. That was for my MXT. I will be in looking for a new one when I buy my 800 very soon!

Like Echcoplex , I use a sports bag,

DeBeers La Crosse equipment bag, loads of pockets etc, and one long side pocket for my root buster shovel, that fit perfect, have to take shaft apart in one section to fit inside, but I am happy all is concealed and just looks like a hiking bag walking into a spot, i picked it up at a charity store, in May, I'm my area, they get loaded with school stuff at end of year.

Measures 42” x 15”
