Can't really tell what you did. Is that a paddle holster attached to a split piece of PVC pipe?

I normally just carry my T handle Lesche over my shoulder. I'm short and a side holster for me would come close to dragging the ground. Lol This would be a good idea though for those who are not as should we say: Vertically Challenged.:laughing7::usflag:

I wonder if possibly sewing 2 neodymium magnets into the side of a collections pouch might hold the shovel, without it slipping.

I just drag mine behind me like a cave man dragging a club haha. I never claimed to be the brightest

Yup...
Cant have it anywhere in front while you are swingin..

My solution to this.

I really like mine. Over the shoulder on open flat ground and in hand in the woods for support and creepy crawlers. Lesche is a great tool.

It is a hand fabricated leather snap holster which is attached to a military weight carrying harness. 2 inch PVC has been split so that the shovel cannot move once it is seated. I balanced the PVC backboard with the shovel prior to attaching the leather holster which is removable. I've used it for a couple hours to test it out, and it's not too uncomfortable. It is relatively easy to remove the shovel, but you definitely have to pay attention when you are replacing in the slot to be sure it's engaged properly. For me it seems to be a reasonable solution to not having to carry the shovel in your hand.
