The ground is really drying out in W PA, even in the deep park woods. My favorite time to go low, slow and reduce sensitivity to find some hidden gems. (Lack of moisture seems to quiet to machine gun iron at the old cellar holes.)

Here is today’s late 1700’s gem.

Love, love it! Love those tombac patterned buttons! Silver and gold are nice, but those buttons have “saved” many, many hunts.
