Catskill area.....Ever hunt the old game farm ?

I was reading about The Old Game Farm in Catskill NY.
I'm in Illinois and was wondering has anyone ever gone and asked to Metal Detect it.
It was opened in the 30's.
I'm sure it would be a great place to hunt.....

Hello DPBOB. I just moved within 5 miles of the farm. Hard to say if it's been searched much. It's been closed for at least 10 years, though the owners only recently sold it for 100,000. I wouldn't guess you could search it today without the owners permission, as you will see in the attached article. .............Breathing new life into the former Catskill Game Farm

Visited many times as a kid in the 50's. Lots of vending machines which dispensed handfuls of food for the animals. Might be a great spot. Haven't been there since the late 70's when I took my own children. Vending machines were still there.
