Go to jail,do not pass go,do not collect nothing. These stupid bloody places trash dumps and camps are now treasured historical sites and you will lose your finds, detectors, and the vehicle that brought you too!! Been that way for over 12 years on BLM and FS properties. Stupid ain't it but have seen multiple cases a guys fined, lost detectors, quads, and trucks.NOT a joke.Tons a au 2 u 2-John >:( ???

Amything in colorado over fifty years old is historical. Lets see that would put any coin before 1955 a jailing offense. YOu going to quit detecting

In our Natural Forests in California one can metal detect for coins and gold. But anything over 50 years old such as old nails, artifacts, etc. is forbidden. Secret - keep a low profile. Gretchen.
