I found an old bronze token at a flea market in Clinton, Indiana. It's approx. the size of a quarter and has the words C.D. Club on one side and the image of what appears to be a lion on the other. It is beaded around the edges on both sides. I assume it's some kind of gaming token, but can't find it in any of my references. Anyone know anything about it?

I'm adding pics of both sides of the token, if that will help any.

My first impression of that reverse is that it is a donkey - is that an ear at the top or a leaf? If it is a donkey, then I would look for an organization like the Clinton Democratic Club that may have used these internally.

Thanks, John! I'll check out that lead and report back if I find anything.

Now that I twist my head to the left, rather than to the right, I see the lion...

It looks like a lion to me too. I'm still thinking the "C" might refer to Clinton somehow. Just need to find some Clinton directories.
