Back to the cellar hole that produced 2 large cents, and a KG II last week. Hit the corner of the walled in area and came across some musket balls, first time digging them so I was happy when I got one, then two, then three, then four, then five! Not sure what to make of the one with the hole in the back side. No rings on it, but its certainly lead and appears to be a bullet of some kind. Any Musket Ball experts out there? 2 Indians, 1860 ( kind of toasted ) and an 1863 in pretty good shape considering. Some odd copper coin which I can't make out anything on, but it is in fact copper as I scraped the edge. Pewter plated flat button ( stamped plated on the back), and the day could not be complete without parts of a spoon. Not bad for a few hours with the NOX.
Used Field 2, Iron Bias 1, swing speed 5 with sensitivity between 22-23. Dug less nails this time around, so I'm either learning, or clearing the site of them Haven't figured out which.
