That is a reed from an accordion or a smaller instrument called i believe a concertina? If you look close at your reeds slykatt you may be able to see the "key" that the reed is in,a b c d e f or g. Check near the base..Jerry
 

Well I'll be d****ed! I have found enough of those reeds to fill my pocket. I've always wondered what they went to. I thought they might've been part of a hunting horn, or stagecoach horn. But I was just finding too many to account for that. A squeezebox (aka concertina) makes perfect sense. Great finds, never give up on the old sites!

thanx for the id.these have haunted me for two years..pretty sure the (casing) is brass and the reed itself is well....somethin else

I don't know about them being used as decorative pieces on harnesses, but I have seen them used as a leather strap finial, like at the end of a leather reins.
 

Photo 2 sure looks like a Model T transmission clutch fork.

Just so happen to own most of a Model T.
 

the pipe piece looks like it might have been to an outside or sink faucet??...reduces from 1/2 to 1/4 in i think.....
