I live in southern Ohio not to far from where Dorkfish lives and I hunt some of the same fields he does. Anyway a few years ago I was across the river walking the Ky river bank on Easter Sunday looking for old bottles instead of artifacts.
Instead of bottles I spotted the smallest of these two celts laying in the sand which had washed out of the river bank after high water. Knowing that it had to have washed out of the 5ft high bank that was right there I started scraping around in the bank for more and and pulled out the bigger celt. I thought I might have found even more, but one other piece of flint was all I found. That was a few years ago and I have been back there after high water checking to see if anything else would wash out but have found nothing else.
Both celts look like they were never used. Not a scratch or nick on either of them.
Just looks like they were buried there for some reason.
