Hi!

I have quite a bit of river rock in beds around my home and noticed this palm-sized stone the other day. I'm not sure what to make of it, other than it looks purposefully crafted. Any ideas what it could be? I'm located in Central Texas and the river rock came from Central Texas.

I forgot to welcome you to Tnet!Where are my manners?Welcome!!!!!!

Thanks for the replies. The two holes look weird, for sure to be man-made. The surface that is not eroded away looks almost like it was shaped and in an odd way. It just stands out differently from the style of the other river rocks for sure. I'm going to see if I find a broken piece that matches it, but it is doubtful.

Looks like a piece of fossilized bone. Either way it’s not NA.

Welcome to TNet! Nice rock!

Welcome to Treasurenet, sorry, it is natural stone, there are no signs visible of being worked by man.

I like it.
Made by the hand of man for sure.

Likely got pickled fingers holding that thing under moving water for hundreds of years.

Other than it being purposefully crafted, what purpose do you think it could have been purposefully crafted for?
