Centreville hunt.....Was a blast from the past!

What a great time and a fantastic bunch of guys! Prober,Zach,Jim C,and AMC Rules showed up in my home town for a day of hunting. Started around 9 am by going to a local Masonic Temple which has been around since the mid 1800's. Jim C took us to school by starting off with a spectacular Civil war token! only minutes into the day! Then proceeded to pop a couple of super nice indians! That Minelab of his was on fire! I managed to dig out a real cool relic of a very old butt plate off of a musket. I have the feeling that this relic is very very old and maybe from the 1700's! We then went to the local fair grounds and started hammering out a few nice coins. Jim and Prober teamed up to nail a super nice standing liberty quarter and then Jim pulled a very clean Merc! AMC was diggin up all kinds of jewelery just could'nt get them to be the Gold and Silver that we all want! Dang! Jim and AMC finnally had to call it a day as they had long drives home, but Prober and Zach wanted to hunt a bit more so I took them to the Church lot where i had been making some excellent finds lately. We gave it a try for about 45 minutes with out much luck, but just before we decided to call it a day I got a signal I thought might be a Buff nickle and thought I would give it a quick dig and pulled out this bruiser of a class ring! I'll try to find the owner of it this week as when I got it home I found his initials on the inside after I washed it up a bit. I think everyone had a fun day, I know I did as these guys are a great bunch of MDers and I know I have made some terrific new friends! Can't wait till I have the chance to hunt with them again and I am going to line up some nice old homes for us to hunt. Thanks again guys I had a great time! Thanks for the invite Jack, we had a great time. We were a little tired when we got home at 11 p.m. last night. It was a long, fun day which began for us around 6 a.m. Looking forward to coming down there again & hope the other guys can make it as well.

Nice ring Jack. I got home about 9:30 pm, had to work the next day, was up at 6:30 am to get ready. Man I was sore from all that detectin, but it was worth it.
