I wanted to return to my new ghost town but the last trip yielded about 20 pieces of copper flashing to every one good target so I did a bit more research and found a cellar hole on the trail in to the site that was abandoned much earlier than all the others late 1800s instead of the rest of the sites that were still in use till 1939. I was rewarded with all old targets and no 20th century junk! Hits were scarce actually a few pewter spoon pieces one flat button and this beauty, My first eagle A. It is coat sized. A bit pitted but it is gold to me
