Dumped coin today at TD Bank and was informed that they changed their bag limits on Halves from $500 to $100. Needless to say, the teller had to change out the bag twice while I was standing there. Not very cost effective for them, but maybe they did it to make it easier for the tellers to carry the bags to the vault afterwards.

I still have a few hundred $ that I'll need to dump, but maybe I'll spread the dumps to 2 or 3 locals so I don't irritate the tellers that still like me.

The bag limit for halves has been $100 for as long as I can remember.

Same here. If it's $500 now that would be a reliever.

The machine can be set whatever amount the bank wants. I came across one branch where the limit for halves was $500 in my over 7 years of CRH. Another branch accidentally set at $1000 for halves. After my one-time use, they changed back to $100.

I believe it has to do with the location of the 50 cent slot, it is very close to the reject slot. Were any bag over $300 would block the reject tube or cause problems when removing the bags.... I do believe that 100$ is kind of low, and wasteful on bags. I think they should all be set to 250$.

It's been a year since I dumped a lot of Halves so it's new to me. I was able to dump more than $100 last year at my branch. It's apparently still new enough there that the teller told me they "recently changed it".

i felt so bad the other day i went in about 20 min before they closed to dump almost $600 of halfs i was there for about 35 40 mins while they where changing the bags
